Grants in connection with Slavery Memorial Year

The Cultural Participation Fund is already seeing outstanding projects – large and small – being submitted to the Slavery Memorial Year grant scheme. Do you have a plan for a project that will help commemorate and celebrate the abolition of slavery? Or that can increase our knowledge and awareness of this important issue? If so, you can apply for a grant from the Fund. This can be done in English, Papiamentu or Papiamento, as well as in Dutch. A translation allowance is available for this purpose. The Fund will also fully cover all project costs.

Do you need extra information or advice? Don’t hesitate to contact the Cultural Participation Fund.

The Making Heritage grant scheme, for projects big and small

Are you already familiar with the Making Heritage grant scheme, launched by the Cultural Participation Fund? This scheme offers support for a diverse range of heritage projects – big and small – in three categories. The important thing is that your plan includes ways to actively involve more people in your heritage, especially those who have never been involved before. By coming together like this, you will give heritage a brighter, healthier future.

Do you have a plan or idea? Or would you like to know more about the opportunities available? Why not sign up for one of the online information sessions organised by the Fund? Or contact them at erfgoed@cultuurparticipatie.nl.

Grant for international collaborations between heritage institutions

Do you work for a heritage institution? And would you like to collaborate on a research project with a heritage institution in another country (e.g. the United States or Suriname)? In that case, you might be interested in the Mondriaan Fund’s grant scheme for International Collaborative Projects among Heritage Institutions.

This scheme allows you to apply for funding for research in a joint collection area, as well as for the development phase of such a study. The deadline for applications is 8 May 2023. For more information, contact Talitha van Ooyen on +31 (0)20 523 15 13 or at talitha.vanooyen@mondriaanfonds.nl.
